The Artist/Author

Steven King is a well-seasoned graphic illustrator and designer.  His many forms of artwork have appeared in numerous published books, packaging, games, and toys around the world.  Among Steven’s recognitions, he has been featured in magazines, newspapers, and books including the Adobe Illustrator WOW Book which showcases the world’s best artists and designers working in Adobe Illustrator.

Steven is best known for creating all the detailed educational illustrations for U-Haul that you see on the road today, one of the most iconic and recognized brands in North America.  While working directly with leading scientists on these educational illustrations, he was inspired to write his own picture books to make learning fun while helping children understand science.

The author worked directly with Tom Turpin, Purdue University Professor of Entomology to insure the scientific facts for accuracy. Turpin's assistance have played an integral role for the details of this fun and educational book for children.
